Steven Tyler

Steven TylerThe band spent time on Boston's club circuit , being guided by Frank Connelly their first manager. The band then began to collaborate together with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. Their debut album, called "Eponymous" was released in 1973. They got a recording contract in 1972. It was followed by Get Your Wings, Toys in the Attic, Rocks, and Draw the Line, which brought Aerosmith into international fame and recognition. These albums produced famous hits like "Dream On", "Walk This Way", and "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's early five albums have been multi-platinum in all of them, as well as Toys in the Attic and Rocks are thought to be among the greatest hard rock albums of all time. As the decade went by, however, the band's chaotic schedule of touring, recording and living together was beginning to wear their bodies. Because of their famed use of stimulants and heroin, Tyler and Perry were often referred to as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music and many other video releases from Aerosmith reveal their relationship. Tyler was reportedly more committed to the group and appeared to dislike Perry's aloof attitude. Perry, however, was jealous of Tyler's choice for women she dated. The conflict between Tyler, Perry, and their once-friendly girlfriends was key to the gradual decline of Aerosmith, circa 1980.
