Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her career as an actor in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2006) and She's the Man (2006). She then played reporter Willa McPherson on the FX series Dirt as well as a supporting part in the short-lived show The Ex List. She played the role of a young Moira O'Hara during the initial season of FX's American Horror Story, and played Kaylee in the season's third. She played Jessie Anderson's character on the AMC series The Walking Dead. Sophie played her character in The NBC show This Is Us. She also voices a variety of characters in Family Guy's animated comedy series. Since 2019, she has starred in the role of Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She moved to California with her mother when she was of 10. They went through a few different places for a year before they finally settled in Mill Valley. Breckenridge began to become attracted to acting, photography and singing when she was 13. She relocated to Los Angeles with her mother at the age of 15 to pursue her acting career.
